Abstract This study uncovered the truth about the RH Law and its implementations. The RH Law was purposefully constructed to answer the issue of poverty, economic development and overpopulation. It also addresses certain problems of the country like gender inequality, abortion, teenage pregnancy due to premarital sex, and women deprivation. In accordance to the youth as a major part of the law, this study also examines the knowledge of the DLSU community regarding the law and how will it affect them. Based on the gathered data, there are still misconceptions about the law prevailing in the community and they do not feel its implementations. On the other hand, a number of students and employees believe that the RH Law will positively affect them and the community. Introduction Poverty, being a major problem in our country, should be addressed by the government and to solve this, they need to deal with the issue of overpopulation. Baring (2012) and Calleja (2009) stated that the RH Law was purposefully made to answer the issue of poverty, economic development and overpopulation. Consequently, the proponents of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Act (RH) bill and the Church argued about the implementations of the bill. Based on Baring (2012), the Church asserted that the bill did not coincide with the religious doctrine about the holiness of life specifically manââ¬â¢s ability for procreation.
